“Track 4”

 Feature documentary exploring the Israeli Palestinian negotiation process. “Track 4” refers to the diplomatic level of negotiation, track 1 being the meeting of heads of governments, track 3 being the unofficial negotiation between the nameless negotiators that do the heavy lifting. 


In “Track 4”, we follow a group of New School graduate students exploring the negotiating process through roll playing. The students represent specific negotiators and parties on all sides and are in many cases in direct communication with the negotiator they represent. We visit Israel and Palestine, meet with ministers in the Knesset, and advisers to Mahmoud Abbas in the Mukataa, traveling from New York to the Golan Heights via Ramallah.

 I have a long relationship with the BBC and BBC Financial in New York, working with John Mervin, starting with Richard Quest…Tanya Beckett…, and now Michelle Fleury, and Caroline Hepker. Along with regular camera work I also provided the lighting and tech support for the daily show at the Reuters studio and at the Associated Press studio when the BBC moved their offices.


In 2006, six months after Hurricane Katrina, we visited New Orleans investigating the rebuilding effort in the city.

I started working as a camera man editor with AJAM a week before its launch covering every major event during those 3 years, from flood in South Carolina, to Pope Francis’ visit to the US, and going all the way to Paris for the attacks, providing live shots, as well as filming and editing packages.

We cranked out reports about anything from an escaped bear, to hurricanes, to the White House. We traveled, shot, wrote, and edited sometimes while driving across states during the day, and going live from 1am to 4 am in the morning 5 days a week

From 1991 to 1995 I worked at Protecrea TF1 in the fiction department as a post productions supervisor and in-house production coordinator.  I supervised all aspects of the postproduction, including such responsibilities as the timing of final prints and final film to tape transfers. A Paris based company, Protecrea produced 10 90-minute TV movies yearly, all shot on Super 16mm film. “Commissaire Moulin” and “Rocca” are among the popular TV series produced by Protecrea.
